After School Activities

Elementary, middle, and secondary school students can participate in various clubs and activities offered by staff and outside providers. There might be an additional fee for some activities. Middle and secondary students are encouraged to attend after-school study sessions as needed.

Activities run from 3:35 - 4:50 pm, and the school office (+992 939 906 906) should be contacted if a student will be absent or needs to take the late bus home. Sign up for activities and important information is shared in the school newsletters.

Study Sessions

The secondary staff provide afterschool study sessions for middle school and secondary students four afternoons a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).  Teachers will review student progress and determine weekly which students need to attend the study sessions. The office will notify parents if their student(s) need to attend. Any student may attend, but priority will be given to students who are requested to attend by a teacher.

Primary teachers will contact parents directly to arrange afterschool support sessions, if needed.

Students can bring lunch from home or order school lunches from an outside provider, with options including soup and salad, chicken, meat, or vegetarian. The school newsletter provides an order form every two weeks. The cafeteria has several microwaves for reheating food if students bring a home lunch.

Developing a Love of Reading

The QSID Library is intended to be a flexible resource center for staff and students.

Students are encouraged to read for enjoyment, as well as conduct research and continue independent learning inquiries. Students have opportunities for book exchange through regular classes. Teachers help integrate library and information research skills into classroom lessons.

The QSID Library provides print over 11,000 physical books in English and access to K-12 appropriate websites. Access is available 24/7 from anywhere in the world by going to qsi.follettdestiny.com and selecting “QSI International School of Dushanbe” from the list.

 

If you're in need of transportation for your child to and from school, our bus service is available for an additional fee. The service includes morning pick-up, an after-school bus, and a late departure bus for After School Activities. All of our buses come with air conditioning and seat belts, and a staff member is on board to act as a bus monitor.
