Learning Support

Quality Schools International has made considerable gains in the area of student support with the development of a learning support policy. This policy is the foundation for our learning support framework created to serve students with mild to moderate learning differences who may need accommodations to master the curriculum.
QSI strives for success for all learners through mastery learning strategies, universal design of instruction and a multitiered system of support to meet the academic and social emotional needs of students. The learning support policy outlines a three-step process for educators to effectively eliminate barriers to student learning. This process ensures that students have the chance to thrive in their learning environments and achieve their full potential. While learning support looks different from school to school, the three-step process is similar to the Response to Intervention (RTI) strategy in that supports students who may not have documented learning needs but are encountering difficulties within the classroom.
While QSI strives to support all learners, if is important to consider individual student needs during the admission process to ensure that the school may meet the needs of students with moderate learning needs, as staffing and resources vary.
With the support of Regional Learning Support Coordinators and on-site Learning Support Teachers and paraprofessionals at various school locations, QSI can develop and support inclusive learning environments to provide success for students with mild learning needs.
